Quality and Environment Policy


The quality and environment policy in Elektro VD in Bečov n. Teplou is expressed by the enterprise strategy of the syndicate, pursuing the elementary objective of enterprise – achieving the highest possible revenue while spending optimum costs and minimising the impact of activities and products of the syndicate on the environment, which is not omitted when fulfilling the enterprise activities.

80% of the production forms the production of electrotechnical connecting material. The electrotechnical product range belongs to such where high demands are put not only on the functionality and reliability but also the safety of persons concerning el. current injury and protection of the customer's property against fire for reason of a failure of the el. equipment. Therefore, the declared policy perceives these increased requirements and is focused on constant advancement of quality of our production. During the production activities, procedures and processes are used that may endanger the environment under certain circumstances. They especially include surface finishing of metals by galvanisation, machining of metals, pressing of metals, and mould injection of plastics. In these technologies, chemical substances and petroleum products are used that are also stored before use. Hazardous waste and waste water are created.
A majority of these processes is performed in Bečov where the Slavkovský forest protected landscape area. Teplá river that is the water supply for the towns located downstream traverses in the vicinity of the syndicate complex. The actual Bečov is kept on the list of historical towns and municipalities. All that obliges us to pay considerable attention and regard to the environment during the development of enterprise activities, seek the sources of possible danger, decrease the risks by preventive measures, and are prepared to eliminate the impact on the environment to the minimum in case of an accident. Therefore, considerable amounts are dedicated to the protection and improvement of all components of the environment.
The management of the syndicate, aware of its full responsibility for the future development of the syndicate and with confidence that it will be understood and favourably accepted by all syndicate employees, business partners, and other participating parties, declares for the coming period the following QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY, in which it undertakes to:

1. In relation to the customers:

1.1. Market products and provide services with the expected quality level
1.2. Make products available within the deadlines required by the customer
1.3. Make the price of products and services in line with the quality and utility properties
1.4. Always make the products and services in line with the valid legislation focused especially on the safety and with a minimum impact on the environment within the entire life cycle
1.5. Provide precise and clear information concerning the properties, safe use, and disposal after service life termination, according to the nature of products and services
1.6. Create conditions of mutual communication and customer satisfaction measurement in order to ensure the understanding of the customer requirements (including expected ones), fulfilment of the requirements and securing the process of constant improvement of the quality and environment management system efficiency

2. In relation to the suppliers:

2.1. Require inputs (material, raw materials, services) of the guaranteed quality in order to fulfil the quality and environment policy
2.2. Procure only such inputs that are environmentally harmless or with a minimum impact for the environment
2.3. Require all documents and records for the procured inputs in order to document their properties according to the requirements of the syndicate, standards, and regulations
2.4. Communicate with the suppliers with the goal of convincing them to cooperate on the environmental protection and the process of constant improvement of the quality and environment system

3. In relation to the employees:

3.1. Improve the organisational and control structure that will support the quality and environment policy, create conditions for meeting the objectives of the quality and environment policy and contribute to the economic and social growth
3.2. Apply the quality and environment system in all activities of the syndicate
3.3. Create the prerequisites for further improvement by regular examination of the quality and environment systems
3.4. Regularly familiarise employees with the results of the examination, encourage their voluntary activity and initiative with the goal of increasing their awareness and motivation and involvement in the fulfilment of the quality and environment policy goals
3.5. Include their results achieved in the quality and environment system in the overall evaluation of the employee in order to increase his or her material interest in the results of the syndicate
3.6. Secure the resources needed for the fulfilment of the quality and environment policy

4. In relation to the bodies of national administration, self-administration, and the public:

4.1. Fulfil the requirements given by the valid legislation of the Czech Republic, the valid legislation of local regulations, and fulfil the requirements of the interested parties in the places of activity of the syndicate. Create the prerequisites and accept environmental goals in order to decrease the influence on the environment even beyond the scope of valid legislation.
4.2. Monitor or remove old burdens
4.3. Strive for the optimisation of consumption of materials, raw materials forming the natural wealth of the country while preserving the required quality of the product and the related processes during the development and innovations of the product, implementation of the product and the logistical processes
4.4. Constantly strive for decreasing the volume of waste
4.5. Take such measures that will lead to a decrease of the consumption of fuels and energies
4.6. Regularly inform the public on the intentions in the area of quality and the environment and thus allow the public's familiarisation with the quality and environment policy of the syndicate and the achieved results

Environmental influence

Throughout the lifecycle of the products:

The produced manufactured by our company are made of materials having no significant negative impact on any aspect of the environment if used in the conditions tested and recommended by the manufacturer.
The obligations stated in Decree No. 352/2005 Coll. on the details of handling of electrical equipment and electrical waste do not apply to the aforementioned products. However, we as the manufacturer declare that our products meet the limits of hazardous substances stated in Appendix 5 of the above decree.

After the end of the service life – product and packaging disposability:

Metallic product parts – can be utilised via authorised persons in accordance with the Law on Waste No. 541/2020 Coll., as amended.
Plastic parts – can be utilised after separation in accordance with the Law on Waste No. 541/2020 Coll. The meaning of the symbols used on plastic parts: PP – polypropylene, PA – polyamide, PE – polyethylene, PS – polystyrene.
Packaging – it meets the conditions for marketing the packaging determined by Law No. 477/2001 Coll., as amended. If not contaminated, it can be handled according to the symbols stated on the packaging.

Fulfilment of the RoHS EU directive:

Our products meet the requirements of the Directive of the European Parliament and Council No. 2011/65/EU (on the limitation of use of some hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) and 2017/2102/EU, amending the Directive 2011/65/EU on the limitation of use of some hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with the Governmental Ordinance No. 481/2012 Coll., as amended. We declare that our products do not contain the enumerated hazardous substances to an extent exceeding the maximum concentration values. We also verify this with our suppliers.

REACH ordinance:

Our policy is full compliance of the Ordinance of the European Parliament and Council (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH) on the registration, evaluation, approval, and limitation of chemical substances. We monitor and regularly evaluate the SVHC list of substances
(substances causing very high concerns) administered by the European Agency for Chemical Substances ECHA. We respect the REACH ordinance, i.e. the obligation of the manufacturers and importers to register the chemical substances they make or import in the quantity of more than 1 t per year and also the obligation to submit comprehensive information on chemical substances in the entire customer-supplier chain.

Lifecycle evaluation:


The products stated in our e-shop, if used according to the manufacturer's recommendation, have no significant negative impact on the environment. The obligations stated in Decree No. 352/2005 Coll. on the details of handling of electrical equipment and electrical waste do not apply to the aforementioned products. However, we as the manufacturer declare that our products meet the limits of hazardous substances stated in Appendix 5 of the above decree. The products and packaging are made of materials that can be recycled after the end of their service life. Metallic and plastic parts can be separated and utilised in accordance with the Law on Waste No. 541/2020 Coll., as amended. Packaging – it meets the conditions for marketing the packaging determined by Law No. 477/2001 Coll., as amended, and it is made of 100% recyclable materials.
